Plan your meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 3 snacks) at the beginning of the week, the beginning of the day, or the night before. By doing this, you will be more inclined to stick to your plan. When planning your meals, make sure you do not exceed your daily calorie limit. Also plan your meals 2-3 hours apart (see example above). Allow no more than 400 calories for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and divide the remaining calories between your 3 snacks. The Her Mind & Body Weight Loss Planner covers this and more. This is true i agree with it by maintaining the amount of calories per day you can lose you weight and can keep yourself healthy physically and mentally fit.By maintaining the amount of calories you can eat 6 meals per day that's no big deal.

Do you use a calorie counter? If so, what is the best and most accurate calorie counter? I've downloaded a few apps and they don't all match. It would be wonderful if I could find one that I could add the calories to, if for whatever reason, they don't have the item I want to insert listed.
Thanks

Hey Kat,
I think that the most important thing is not necessarily to have an EXACT notion of how much you are eating, but more of a ‘concept’ that gives you a ballpark figure of what you are eating. Stick with a counter that you think is easy to use and that gives you somewhat accurate readings.

I rather like the idea of a good calorie counter. I mean why not try to find out as much about your food as you possibly can? I am with kat that if anyone can figure out a good calorie counter that provides accurate results, I certainly want to know more about it!

I really think that eating small portions has given me more energy throughout the day. I am not even doing it to ensure that I lose weight anymore because I have reached the weight that I wanted. I want to make sure that I retain my energy instead of having a giant insulin spike at once.

I have been spreading food out like this for a year now – and I really notice a difference. I feel healthier, I have more energy throughout the day, and I really do not feel hungry at all. If you are able to do this with your schedule, I would really highly recommend it for everyone.
