Required tools for use with the Her Mind & Body Weight Loss Planner are a tape measure and a bathroom scale, however I do recommend additional tools to help you on your weight loss journey:
Wrist Watch Style Heart Rate Monitor - Tired of guessing how many calories you have burned during an exercise session? A heart rate monitor that keeps tabs on the calories you have burned will make it easier for you.
Pedometer - The simplest thing one can do to lose weight is take up walking. A pedometer keeps track of the steps that you take. Some pedometers also keep track of calories. 10,000 steps per day are recommended for optimal fitness.
Measuring Cups - This tool helps with portion control. I recommend keeping several of them and leaving them inside of prepackaged food so that they are readily available. Don't forget to read the nutrition facts label on the package to help determine the serving size and the calories and nutrients that are contained in 1 serving so that you make wise food choices.
Water Bottle - It is recommended that women drink at least 9 cups of water per day. Make it easy by keeping a water bottle on you and refilling it throughout the day. Water is also a natural appetite suppressant.
Lunch Bag - Packing your lunch for work will help you stick to your diet plan. Don't forget to pack healthy snacks to munch on during your breaks.
Food containers - Why buy prepackaged dinners when you can prepare your own without the preservatives and high sodium content? You can prepare your meals for the week, put them in food containers, and store them in your fridge or freezer until ready to use.
All of these tools can be purchased under the "Recommended Tools" menu at HerMindandBody.com
